The Director of Oncology Collaborations will develop and implement high-level strategies, establish testing pathways, and create institutional collaborations across multiple fronts in Oncology and Oncology Dx. This role will leverage experience, contacts, and existing relationships with major Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), Academic Cancer Center leadership, and key program decision-makers within institutions, hospitals, reference labs, C-suites, and other targets across the United States. Targets include, but are not limited to, Academic Institutions/Cancer Centers, multidisciplinary clinical societies, Hospital systems, advocacy, and cooperative groups. The goal is to drive volume, build long-term partnerships, and meet/exceed organizational goals.

LOCATION: The territory for this position includes the Central US Region

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Become an expert in Natera’s technology and service offerings and represent the company and its business interests at the highest levels with KOL Physicians, Academic/Community Medical Directors, and C-Suite level targets.
  • Develop and execute plans to ensure the rapid distribution of all products.
  • Establish positive working relationships with all key customer segments (internal and external).
  • Educate and recruit Key Opinion Leaders from the Oncology/Hematology medical community.
  • Allocate time as defined with the VP, in the field with ADs, RDs, DMs, DOCCs, and COS to provide direction and feedback to maximize potential collaboration opportunities.
  • Provide direction based on field input, market assessments, and trends to develop an Area which is consistently implementing "Best Practices".
  • Develop business plans based on sales goals, expectations, and available resources, including “Area” strategies and tactics.
  • Attend local, regional, and national trade shows, meetings & trainings.
  • Educate and recruit Strategic Accounts and Lab Partners to offer Natera’s portfolio of tests.
  • Work effectively with Natera's clinical field sales team to help maximize potential business opportunities and partnerships.
  • Perform with a sense of urgency, with a focus on achieving exceptional revenue growth.
  • Play a critical role in the success of the organization.

Qualifications:

  • BA in Business, Marketing, or a related field is required; MBA preferred.
  • Background in medical or biological sciences is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic Oncology sales to the aforementioned targets across the United States preferred.
  • Market knowledge and experience in Pathology, Oncology & Laboratory sales preferred.

  • Proven track record of success in leading a team of salespeople to develop new markets, launch new products, and increase revenue quickly.

  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel; Gmail; Salesforce.com.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

  • Duties are typically performed in a medical office or hospital setting.
  • This position requires the ability to use a computer keyboard, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material.
  • Duties may require working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends) at times.
  • 60%-75% travel required.

In addition to the base salary, we offer a competitive commission structure that rewards performance.

The pay range is listed and actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
