The Role
As a Team Lead HR Shared Services Specialist, you will act as an operational leader for a regional team while collaborating globally to ensure seamless HR service delivery under a Follow-the-Sun model. This role focuses on coordinating team activities, supporting individual development through regular check-ins, managing workload distribution, and escalating issues to leadership. You will provide guidance and insights to help the team meet goals and deadlines, but you are not a formal people manager—you do not handle hiring, firing, performance reviews, or merit decisions.
Your Impact
- Act as the primary point of contact for day-to-day team coordination and workload management within your region.
- Conduct regular 1:1 meetings with team members to provide guidance, address concerns, and support goal achievement.
- Monitor team capacity and redistribute tasks to ensure deadlines are met.
- Collaborate with other regional leads to coordinating work globally and ensure coverage for tasks that can be completed anywhere.
- Creating and reviewing process flows and leading continuous improvement initiatives’
- Identify and escalate operational issues, risks, or resource gaps to the Director or senior leadership.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for complex HR processes and provide coaching to team members.
- Oversee onboarding and offboarding activities, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance. Conducting New Hire Orientation, creating Offer letter/Contract and NDA.
- Ensure timely and accurate Workday transactions, including job changes, offers, terms, and organizational updates.
- Partner with Payroll and Benefits teams to ensure accurate data flow and compliance.
- Maintain and update SOPs, job aids, and HR documentation.
- Support large-scale projects and change initiatives as a team lead.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment across geographies.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 6+ years of HR operations or shared services experience, preferably in a global environment. Or 10 plus years in HR operations or HR Services roles.
- Expert knowledge of Workday and HR systems.
- Strong communication and influencing skills.
- Proven ability to lead projects and coordinate team activities without formal authority.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work across time zones and cultures.
