You may find yourself doing all of the following:

  • Managing, monitoring, and maintaining a fleet of 170+ bare metal servers
  • Developing and maintaining Kubernetes clusters powering CI/CD workflows and release management automation
  • Maintaining the integrity and security of the bare metal server deployments
  • Developing and maintaining a scalable network and server infrastructure
  • Maintaining network/server automation tools supporting the bare metal fleet
  • Collaborating with IT and Security stakeholders to assist with security auditing, response, patching, access control, and threat mitigation for the bare metal server fleet
  • Collaborating with DevOps and Software Engineering stakeholders to help ensure strategy and execution alignment
  • Working with the team to act as a single voice for product releases to ensure engineering deliverables are meeting the needs of the business goals

Qualification Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience monitoring, deploying, and patching Linux-based server infrastructure
  • 5+ years of experience managing and maintaining bare metal Kubernetes clusters
  • 5+ years of experience managing, maintaining, and deploying mission-critical network & server infrastructure
  • 3+ years of experience deploying and managing Zero-Trust Privileged Access Management solutions such as Teleport or StrongDM
  • 3+ years of experience writing network infrastructure documentation including network diagrams, change management requests, standards, procedures, and policies
  • 2+ years of experience with network infrastructure design and architecture
  • 2+ years of experience with IPv4/IPv6 address space planning, design, and management
  • 2+ years of experience with planning and deployment of routing protocols (eg: OSPF, BGP)
  • 2+ years of experience planning and deploying bare metal configuration management solutions (eg: Rudder.io, CFEngine, Chef, Puppet, Anisble, Canonical MAAS, etc)
  • 2+ years of experience writing effective design and process documentation
  • Self-motivated and driven to take ownership and responsibility for assigned projects
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and servant leadership skills
  • Experience and excellent knowledge of Iterative and Incremental Engineering Practices
  • Cisco CCNP, Cisco CCDE, Juniper JNCIA-ENT, or Juniper JNCIA-DC certifications are strongly recommended
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a similar field, or equivalent work experience
