Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Site Reliability & Quality Engineer (multiple positions) in Irving, TX.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Measure and analyze the reliability of the design, materials, processes, cost, and final products of production;

  • Support production applications, look for ways to automate discoveries, eliminate incidents from recurring and/or reduce the time it takes to get our customers back up and running;

  • Improve the following for our applications: availability, latency, performance, efficiency, and effective proactive monitoring;

  • Interface with business users, development teams and system administrators to ensure system quality and to ensure system(s) perform to meet business needs and specifications;

  • Develop, coordinate, and conduct technical reliability studies on engineering designs to assess the likelihood that a product/process performs its intended function over the intended lifecycle;

  • Recommend design or test methods and statistical process control procedures for achieving required levels of product reliability;

  • Complete risk analysis studies of new designs and processes, undertaking testing and analysis on failures, proposing changes in design or formulation to improve system and/or process reliability and quality.

Basic Qualifications:

Position requires a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related STEM field, and 2 years of experience as Validation Engineer or related occupation. 

Required Skills/Experience:
Experience must include 1 year of experience with each of the following:

Technical delivery and IT project management; Large scale application troubleshooting and performance tuning; Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) concepts and practices; Virtualization/Cloud tools: AHV, Azure, Docker; and Agile, Apigee, Confluence, Grafana, Git, InfluxDB, Jenkins, JIRA, Privileged Access Management, Python, Shell, and Splunk/SignalFX.

Teams may work from home and the office.

Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $91,853.00 - $ 171,000.00.
