9 Center is a 24 bed unit with part of the unit being designated for use as a Special Pathogens Treatment Center.  One of 13 locations in the nation.

MedSurg is a great place to begin and grow your skills in direct patient care. They care for mainly the General Medical Patient Population, which could be patients with a wide variety of diagnoses, pneumonia, cellulitis, kidney failure, hyperglycemia, Diabetic Issues, Ulcers, Confused Elderly, Alcohol Abuse, Acute/Chronic Kidney Injury, Sepsis, Psychiatric Population.

Scope of Work

Acts as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Provider. Performs basic skills per department guidelines and communicates observations to members of the health care team.

Qualifications
  • Required High School Diploma or equivalent
  • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 90 days
