Mechanical & Electromechanical Design

• Support creation and revision of SolidWorks 3D models, assemblies, and detailed part drawings.
• Assist in packaging and integration of PCBs, wiring, and electronic modules into mechanical enclosures.
• Perform design updates for component fit, manufacturability, and reliability.

Product Documentation & BOM Management

• Assist in the creation and maintenance of Engineering Bills of Materials (BOMs) for new and existing assemblies.
• Update assembly instructions, part documentation, and exploded views.
• Support development of technical manuals, installation guides, and certification documentation.

Prototyping & Testing

• Assist in building prototypes using internal resources and vendors.
• Participate in basic engineering tests (functional fit checks, tolerance studies, mechanical validation).
• Capture test results, observations, and recommendations in structured reports.

Product Certification Support

• Help gather engineering documentation required for safety, environmental, and regulatory certifications.
• Support pre‑compliance preparation activities (labeling, enclosure updates, documentation alignment).

Sustaining Engineering

• Work on engineering change orders (ECOs) related to product improvements, cost reductions, or part substitutions.
• Support brand-refresh tasks including label changes, enclosure updates, and artwork revisions.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

• Participate in review meetings with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams.
• Work under the guidance of mentor Eric Larson, escalating questions and presenting progress regularly.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Enrolled in an ABET accredited educational program

• Completed 2 years of study required, completed 3 years preferred

• Immigration sponsorship not offered for this position
