We are seeking two highly motivated and upbeat Corrosion Prevention Engineers-in-Training / Data Analysts to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for helping develop and use pioneering systems and technologies, support and implement Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data related to corrosion prevention and control for underground or buried metallic pipelines.

This role requires a solid background in database configuration, structure & management, data analysis techniques, statistical methods, and sound engineering principles.

What You Will Do:

  • Perform data extraction, transformation, and load to ensure data quality and accuracy. Collect and analyze large datasets from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights.

  • Develop and implement data models, algorithms, and statistical methods to solve corrosion-related problems. Apply Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning techniques to build descriptive & predictive models.

  • Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate findings to customers. Collaborate with multi-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide data-driven solutions.

  • Present findings and recommendations to Specialist and other stakeholders in a clear and concise manner. Model impressed current cathodic protection, corrosion activity and fluid dynamics using engineering software.

  • Create and automate corrosion-related process flow to improve consistency and efficiency. Support development of corrosion-related applications & systems

Who You Are:

  • You possess a Bachelor’s in data science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as a Data Scientist or Data Analyst, preferably in the field of corrosion engineering. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.

  • Solid understanding of statistical analysis, data modelling, and machine learning techniques. Strong knowledge & experience with spatial data analysis methodologies

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, or Tableau

  • Preference for a candidate with Post Graduation; experience in corrosion engineering principles and practices. (AMPP) Experience with Power Apps, Power Automate and SharePoint. Proficiency in engineering software, Abaqus or COMSOL Multiphysics. Knowledge of technologies (such as Hadoop, TensorFlow, Spark, or similar). Experience with an ETL tool (e.g., FME)

The successful candidate (if external) will go through background checks including criminal check, education and employment verification.
