About the role

4W (CCU / Cardiology) is an 18 bed cardiac unit comprising of 6 Coronary Care beds and 12 Cardiology beds. The unit cares for patients with acute coronary syndromes, rhythm disturbances and heart failure, along with patients pre and post interventional procedures including angiography, pacing and structural heart procedures. The coronary care unit cares for patients requiring cardiac and haemodynamic monitoring, temporary cardiac pacing, inotropic support, intra aortic balloon pumping and non-invasive ventilation. 4W works closely with the Cardiac Investigation Unit and Cardiothoracic ward.

As a Registered Nurse with post graduate qualifications in cardiac care you will be responsible for delivering high quality comprehensive care to admitted patients on the ward working a rotating roster (AM, PM and Night sifts across weekdays and weekends).

Classifications for this position will range from YP3 - YP9 ($69,253.60 - $92,601.60 pro rata per annum)

Your contribution:

  • Successful completion of Bachelor of Nursing qualification and current AHPRA registration

  • Post Graduate certificate (or above) in Cardiac or Critical Care Nursing

  • Commitment to providing excellent clinical care

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team

  • Demonstrated time management skills
