WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for administering and improving enterprise identity, endpoint management, and core IT systems.  This role focuses on Azure / Entra ID administration, Microsoft Intune device management, and SSO enhancements to strengthen security, reliability, and end-user experience.  The Systems Administrator also supports asset and software lifecycle management, handles escalations from the service desk, and drives continuous improvements across IT operations.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO

Identity, Access, and SSO

  • Administer and support Microsoft Azure and Entra ID (Azure AD), including users, groups, roles, conditional access, and authentication policies.

  • Design, implement, and enhance Single Sign-On (SSO) integrations with SaaS and internal applications (SAML / OIDC), including troubleshooting authentication issues.

  • Maintain and improve identity governance practices (access reviews, lifecycle processes, and role-based access controls).

  • Partner with Security and Compliance teams to enforce MFA, least privilege, and secure access standards.

Endpoint & Device Management (Intune)

  • Manage and maintain Microsoft Intune for Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android devices (as applicable).

  • Create and manage device configuration profiles, compliance policies, security baselines, and application deployment policies.

  • Support device provisioning workflows (Autopilot or equivalent), enrollment, remote wipe / retire, and device health reporting.

  • Troubleshoot complex endpoint issues and support escalations from the service desk.

Asset and Software Lifecycle Management

  • Own IT asset lifecycle processes (procurement intake, inventory, assignment, refresh, returns, disposal, and audit readiness).

  • Maintain accurate hardware and software inventory records; ensure license compliance and cost optimization.

  • Package, deploy, and maintain software applications; manage versioning, updates, and deprecations.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to standardize device / software offerings and streamline request fulfillment.

Operational Support & Escalations

  • Serve as an escalation point for complex tickets involving identity, SSO, endpoint configuration, and enterprise SaaS platforms.

  • Analyze trends in incident / request data to identify root cause, eliminate repeat issues, and improve reliability.

  • Develop and maintain documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles to improve support outcomes and self-service.

Continuous Improvement & Automation

  • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks (provisioning, access changes, device actions, and reporting).

  • Improve service delivery through process optimization, monitoring, and reporting of key operational metrics.

  • Participate in change management processes, including testing, rollout planning, and communication.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred, but not required.

  • 3+ years of experience in IT systems administration, endpoint management, or identity / access management.

  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure / Entra ID administration and Microsoft Intune.

  • Experience implementing and supporting SSO integrations (SAML, OIDC / OAuth2).

  • Working knowledge of device compliance / security controls and endpoint troubleshooting.

  • Experience with asset management and software deployment / lifecycle processes.

  • Familiarity with ITSM / ticketing systems (e.g., Jira Service Management, ServiceNow, etc.) and escalation workflows.

  • Strong documentation skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.

  • Highly adaptable and proactive, excelling in fast-paced start-up and new model launch environments.

  • Preferred: Experience with Windows Autopilot, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, and Conditional Access best practices.

  • Preferred: Scripting / automation experience (PowerShell; Power Automate or similar).

  • Preferred: Experience supporting hybrid environments (on-prem AD + Entra ID), Intune + co-management scenarios, or MDM for macOS.

  • Preferred: Knowledge of security frameworks and practices (least privilege, MFA, access governance, audit controls).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have the ability to travel (up to 10%).

  • Must have the ability to lift up to 35 pounds.

  • Must have the ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
