As of October 15, 2024 Loblaw has adopted the following Hybrid working model (a combination of working between the office and remotely). Colleagues will continue working remotely up to 1 day a week, while spending the other 4 days in the office (to be determined by each business unit).
GENERAL SUMMARY
This role will support Accounts Receivable functions for Enterprise Procurement and Supply Chain (Warehouse/Transport)
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Responsible for timely and accurate preparation of AR Billing for PaaS and WaaS
• Preparation of period end journal entries & accruals to support the period end close process as needed
• Support the Supply Chain Finance AR team when required in projects and the FaaS Program
• Work alongside the SFA- AR to increase efficiencies, identify improvement opportunities and implement appropriate solutions
Relationship Building
• Act as a business partner, providing support to our relevant business contacts
• Gain the confidence of the business by providing accurate and timely financial information, delivery with a sense of urgency and coping with business changes effectively and efficiently.
Communication Internal/External
• Keep appropriate individuals informed and up to date (team members/senior management) on status of financial information and projects
• Work closely with business contacts to understand urgency of financial tasks assigned and escalate any issues in the timely manner
Any Other Duties As Required
• Any other responsibilities or projects, as required.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
• Current enrollment in a relevant post-secondary program, focused on Accounting, Finance or related disciplines.
Skills Required:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage resources, timelines and projects
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Strong technical skills (accounting practices/standards, Excel, etc.)
• Proactive individual, able to effectively manage various projects simultaneously
• Demonstrated ability to interact with people at various levels of an organization
