Engineers at Analog Devices (ADI) solve some of the world’s most complex engineering problems. To be able to do so with ease, they need access to the best IC design infrastructure available. We, the Engineering Enablement (EE) team at ADI, aim to do just that, by building the infrastructure and support required by ADI’s design community. The Analog Devices EE Frontline Engineering Support team is the first responder for the design community. We come from diverse technical backgrounds and strive to provide the best user experience to design teams, utilizing a full range of EDA design tools and workflows.

In this role, you will offer essential user support for advanced design tools, flows, and methodologies in the realm of complex analog/mixed-signal IC design with a primary focus on our cutting-edge Job Scheduler, Resource Optimizers, and Cloud Automation software suite. This candidate should have some EDA background with IC design tools & flows, such as those for analog & digital design, digital design verification, or digital implementation. Importantly, this candidate should have some familiarity with EDA tools, Job Scheduling Systems, and familiarity with cloud concepts. 

This role requires a candidate who is a good team player and can carry out tasks independently in a multi-disciplinary global team environment. 

Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Offer specialized technical CAD support to ADI's design community, concentrating primarily on Job Schedulers, Resource Optimizers, and Cloud deployment.
  • Extend user support across various facets of the design infrastructure, EDA tools and flows.
  • Investigate and resolve access and permission issues, providing clear explanations and effective solutions.
  • Verifying bug reports, create comprehensive test cases, submit internal bug reports, and monitor vendor progress.
  • Address and troubleshoot performance concerns, collaborating with IT to identify and rectify them.
  • Supporting licensing issue requests
  • Compile FAQ pages to capture knowledge related to specific solutions.
  • Provide guidance to users on resolving issues independently whenever applicable.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) in computer science or Electronics Engineering with 0-2 years' experience preferred.
  • Proven skills in automation and programming languages (Skill, Perl, Python, Tcl, Bash)
  • Familiarity with revision control systems, issue tracking, and collaboration tools
  • Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail oriented, well organized and a team player.

Preferred qualifications

  • Prior exposure to version control systems like Git, Perforce or SVN
  • Familiarity with the Cadence design platform is a plus.
  • Exposure to deep-submicron manufacturing technologies is a plus.

Prior exposure to AWS cloud and automation.
