Tapestry Solutions, a part of Boeing Global Services BGS, is seeking a Software Developer in Swansea, IL. This is an exciting opportunity to join our Mission Products and Services team, focused on serving as a trusted partner to our warfighter customers, providing exceptional software products and services to U.S. and foreign military defense organizations. In this role you will be a key player as part of the team modernizing and sustaining US Air Force systems supporting global transportation planning and passenger movements. The primary function of this position is to provide experienced software design, programming, and troubleshooting skills for complex software applications. This position will be involved with all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC) related to large applications and software programs.  

Position Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoots and leads root cause analysis for issues across software components.
  • Develops, selects, tailors, and deploys contemporary processes and frameworks ensuring continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
  • Develops, maintains, and unit tests code. Develops/decomposes, documents, and maintains software designs and algorithms.
  • Contributes to the development and maintenance of software application architectures.
  • Provides expertise on software methodologies and processes to internal/external customers.
  • Supports operational and integration issue resolution.
  • Supports implementation of best practices within the software development processes.

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.  An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • 6+ years’ experience in software development in an Agile environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in all aspects of designing and implementing system requirements, software and software testing
  • Experience with containerization and DevDecOps
  • Experience with version control tools such as git, Bitbucket, etc.
  • Experience with Typescript, Angular, Bootstrap, Jave, SQL
  • Experience with Testing Frameworks such as xUnit, jUnit, Cyprus, Selenium
  • Experience with Software Development Patterns: microservice, REST, Mono Repo, Mono DB’s, SPA
  • Experience with logistics and/or command and control domains
  • Experience with system level verification and validation

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience, 9 years' related work experience, etc.).

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualification, as well as market and business considerations.  Summary base pay range $103,500 - $115,000.
