Description -
The System Manager will apply technical and program management expertise to lead cross-functional teams and define PC product definitions, experience and technology solutions, and solution delivery strategies. The System Manager will lead both large, cross-functional teams and projects as well as narrow, strategic projects within the business unit. All will affect the organization’s long-term goals and objectives. The role requires routinely exercising independent judgement to determine best methods for accomplishing work and achieving objectives.
Responsibilities
Manages and leads key programs involving multiple functions and program teams to drive the development and implementation process for multiple products or solution offerings.
Directs the development of overall program strategy, budgets, resource allocation plans, and general program requirements. Manages activities of supporting program teams and internal and external development partners; ensures alignment with strategy.
Communicates program progress, escalations, and issue analysis to product stakeholders; collaborates with business unit management and manufacturing and development partners to recommend and implement changes to products, processes, or business practices to drive continuous improvement and manage program costs.
Drives innovation and integration of new technologies and quality initiatives into projects and activities. Leads and provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members to set an example of program management innovation and excellence.
Education & Experience Recommended
Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
10+ years of work experience, preferably in engineering development and implementation, project planning tools and software packages, people management, or a related field.
Knowledge & Skills
Demonstrated history of program management excellence.
Knowledge of PC Client or consumer electronics product development processes.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated business acumen, understanding of organizational strategy, and successful experience managing all aspects of cross-business unit programs, including communicating with internal and external stakeholders and directing matrixed teams and resources.
History of innovation with examples of developing new technical, program management, and/or manufacturing processes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate program management architectures, plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options at executive levels.

The pay range for this role is $146,650 to $225,850 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
