The Opportunity
As a Digital Health Solutions Executive (DHSE), you will drive consulting and IT engagement sales that enable healthcare providers—from large public hospital networks to private integrated delivery systems—to achieve cost efficiencies, operational productivity, and improved patient care outcomes.
In this high‑impact role, you will identify, develop, consult on, and negotiate opportunities within the Digital Health Solutions (DHS) portfolio. You’ll work in close collaboration with enterprise account sales, dedicated sales ambassadors, and regional leadership to achieve defined commercial targets.
Primary Responsibilities
Major Accountabilities
Lead the development and delivery of proposals for consulting and digital solution engagements for medium to large healthcare providers.
Oversee and ensure the quality of client deliverables while managing day‑to‑day relationships as a trusted advisor.
Maintain deep knowledge of healthcare industry trends, market regulations, and evolving customer needs.
Identify key stakeholders within target accounts; research performance KPIs and strategic priorities to drive new business and protect base revenue.
Build and maintain a healthy, credible pipeline for both new projects and value expansion opportunities.
Negotiate contracts and agreements that support long‑term customer commitment, from quotation through to contract signature.
Translate business insights into multi‑year account strategies and lead cross‑functional internal teams toward shared objectives.
Coordinate Abbott resources to support account plans, defining roles, expectations, stakeholder engagement, and timelines.
Act as an internal advocate for the customer, building strong internal relationships to support business success.
Ensure all activities comply with Abbott’s quality system requirements.
Education & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; preferred concentrations in Medical, Life Sciences, IT, or Medical Technology.
Fluent in English and local language(s).
Background & Experience
Experience service‑selling experience within a consultancy environment preferred.
Strong understanding of IT technologies within hospital environments.
Experience selling professional services or consulting solutions in the healthcare sector preferred.
Diagnostics experience advantageous.
Strong understanding of how technology drives value in healthcare.
Proven success building and expanding business within existing and new accounts.
Advanced knowledge of the digital health market in UK/I, including communication concepts between EMR and LIMS systems.
Expert-level understanding of in‑lab workflow processes and communication interfaces.
Experience developing ROI models for Medical SaaS products preferred.
