JLL’s Hotels & Hospitality group is sector focused team within Capital Markets which partners with investors, owners and operators to support and shape investment strategies that deliver maximum value from their hotel real estate. No other advisory or brokerage team in the world provides as broad a spectrum of services for hotel & hospitality investors. In Asia Pacific, JLL Hotels & Hospitality Group is the leading broker, the largest asset manager and one of the most prominent consultancy teams.

We are currently seeking an Executive Director, Hotels & Living Capital Markets, Korea. This is a new role and is a permanent, full time position based in Seoul, reporting into the CEO of JLL Hotels & Hospitality in Singapore, as well as collaborating strongly with the JLL Country Head for Korea. JLL already has a growing track record in Seoul and the focus of this role is to significantly growth the client base, revenue and team, as well as guide Korean outbound capital seeking hospitality and living investments around the globe.

RESPONSIBILITIES

▪ Establish JLL as the leading hotels & living capital markets and real estate consultancy in South Korea.

▪ Lead the business development for our hotels & living services with a primary focus on; investment sales, buyside advice, operator selection and consultancy.

▪ Lead a small and impactful team of hotels & living specialists delivering on our services to clients.

▪ Working with our Capital Coverage team in Korea, build relationships with Korean outbound capital to capture transaction flows and fees for JLL.

▪ Establish yourself as one of the thought leaders in hotels & living investment in South Korea through participating in, and speaking at leading industry events.

▪ Drive thought leadership and research in the hotels & living sectors in collaboration with JLL Research team.

▪ Collaborate with the JLL Korea team to jointly take on client assignments, generate leads and refer business to other business lines under the OneJLL approach.

▪ Support the JLL Korea in their CRM activities with key clients to generate additional business for JLL across all service lines.

▪ Together with the asset management leadership for Asia Pacific, assess the opportunity to launch AM services for hotel and living clients in Korea.

▪ Proactively profile JLL in Korea through implementing an effecting BD, marketing, CRM, research and publications plan with the support of the wider business.

▪ As a member of the extended leadership team in Korea, contribute to the growth of JLL.

REQUIRED SKILLS / EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

▪ Fluent in English and Korean.

▪ 10+ years working experience in hospitality or living real estate, finance or relevant consulting.

▪ Experience in leading high impact teams and setting out business strategy.

▪ Task oriented and possesses a track record of meeting deadlines and delivering on goals.

▪ Detail-oriented, with excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to work with others to achieve a common goal.

▪ Strong analytical and financial analysis skills, as well as knowledge of real estate.

▪ Team player, organized, and strong communication skills.

▪ Self-motivated and ability to multi-task.

▪ Comfort in working independently and as part of a diverse regional team

As a dedicated real estate sector specialist, you should possess strong analytical, communication and team-working skills and be comfortable in dealing with people of all cultures and at different levels across Asia Pacific. You should enjoy working in a dynamic, multi-national environment and be comfortable contributing innovative ideas, insights and suggestions on how to improve the way we conduct, present and communicate our expertise. You should embrace the latest available technology tools as a leverage to source, prepare and deliver up-to-date, world-class data analytics to both internal and external stakeholders.
