Position Overview:
We are seeking a Mechatronic Engineering Intern to assist with the design, prototyping, and testing of electromechanical systems. This role will provide hands-on experience with CAD modeling, PCB design, fabrication techniques, and system integration in a fast-paced R&D environment.
Key Responsibilities:


• Assist in the design and development of mechanical components using SOLIDWORKS.
• Support prototyping efforts using CNC machining, 3D printing, and other fabrication methods.
• Conduct testing and troubleshooting of mechanical assemblies, including underwater and robotic systems.
• Research and evaluate materials, components, and manufacturing techniques.
• Work collaboratively with engineers and technicians to iterate and refine designs.
• Document designs, test results, and findings in reports and presentations.
Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Experience with SOLIDWORKS or similar CAD software.
• Hands-on experience with machining, 3D printing, or mechanical assembly is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Passion for robotics, animatronics, or mechanical design.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Skills:
• Familiarity with CNC machining or manual machining techniques.
• Knowledge of fluid dynamics, pressure vessels, or underwater systems.
• Basic programming knowledge for automation or motion control.
• Interest in R&D and iterative design processes.

The pay rate for this role in Glendale, CA is $42 per hour for undergraduate and $47 per house for graduate.
