Johnson Controls is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Channel Sales Representative II to join our team in Mexico. In this role, you will be integral to building and nurturing profitable service relationships with new customers, focusing on selling renewable maintenance agreements to foster long-term partnerships. As a key member of our local branch office, you will collaborate with sales and operations professionals to maximize business opportunities within your assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement a structured and professional sales strategy to identify, target, and qualify prospective customers, leveraging market trends and networking to generate new leads.
- Engage with potential clients through phone calls and scheduled appointments, building a robust referral network to expand customer base.
- Conduct in-depth sales calls aimed at uncovering operational challenges faced by Facility Directors regarding heating/cooling, ventilation, and control system equipment, positioning Johnson Controls as the optimal solution provider.
- Create urgency in addressing customer needs while proposing tailored solutions that highlight our service capabilities, particularly focusing on renewable maintenance agreements, digital services, sustainability, and decarbonization efforts.
- Lead the proposal review process with prospects, guiding them towards a commitment to Johnson Controls' solutions.
- Facilitate customer kick-off meetings, address any ongoing issues, and drive the renewal and extension of service agreements while supporting the collections process.
- Utilize Salesforce.com and other management tools to keep leadership informed of account progress and identify when to seek assistance to ensure sales momentum.
- Develop and execute territory marketing strategies aligned with Johnson Controls' Building Solutions business objectives, including participation in trade shows and industry events.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
- A minimum of 2 years of successful experience as a commercial sales representative in the security, IT, or technology sales sectors, consistently achieving or surpassing sales quotas.
- Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to present compelling proposals to senior executives within both customer and internal organizations.
- Demonstrated action orientation with a strong drive for results, business acumen, and a customer-centric approach.
- Proficient in building effective teams and fostering interpersonal relationships at all organizational levels.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities, technical learning aptitude, and effective time management skills.
- Experience in managing diversity, building peer relationships, and navigating organizational dynamics.
