Job Description:

The individual will be part of the Engineering team. Their primary responsibilities will be to acquire the technical expertise and balance it with business knowledge to support the subsequent applications and provide support of the product. 

Job Description

  • Provide end to end support and development of automation code within the engineering team.
  • Working with the database engineers develop new solutions as required for engineering programs and projects.
  • Develop prototypes and proof of concepts aligned to business needs.
  • Analyze the technical requirements to recommend pragmatic and sound engineering specific solutions.
  • Respond to routine or standard requests from internal and/or external customers.
  • Document and verify system components, applications, operability and engineering related architecture designs associated with a program or project.
  • Continuously enhance knowledge/expertise in own area and keep current with leading-edge technologies and trends.
  • Participate in knowledge transfer within the team and business units.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance productivity, effectiveness, and operational efficiency of the business unit and/or team.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • College / University with emphasis on computer science, information technology or equivalent work experience and training.
  • IT Industry accreditations not required, but will be considered along with experience Strong academic background such as computer sciences, engineering

Must Haves:

  • Min 1-3 yrs experience with Linux (RedHat, SUSE) advanced administration and server
  • Min 1-3 yrs experience with Microsoft Windows advanced administration and server
  • Knowledge of computer networking and security
  • Working understanding computer storage (SAN storage technology
  • 1-3 years Practical hands-on experience – with code development in python
  • 1-3 Practical hands on experience in any of the following Bash, PowerShell, C++ or Java
  • 1–3-year experience with MS SQL Server or other databases
  • Sound understanding of Virtualization and Cloud Technology.
  • Understanding of Project management methodology

  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude while working within high demands and short deadline environment.
  • Highly motivated to learn and gather experiences.
  • Strong communications skills (written and verbal).
  • Highly organized and possessing strong analytical skills.
  • Highly adaptable with ability to work in a fast pace demanding environment.
  • Must be team-oriented with ability to work well with multiple teams
  • Self-motivated, with strong sense of ownership and urgency to deliver projects/tasks in a timely fashion.
