AV Specialist - JLL

What this job involves:

JLL is actively recruiting a skilled Audiovisual Professional to provide comprehensive technical support for our esteemed client at their prestigious San Diego, California headquarters facility. This critical role encompasses the responsibility for maximizing the effective and efficient utilization of all conference facilities, ensuring that every client interaction and visitor experience meets the highest standards of professional service excellence. The successful candidate will oversee the complete spectrum of day-to-day audiovisual operations, including meticulous equipment setup, seamless operational execution, proactive maintenance protocols, systematic inventory management, and robust security oversight for all audiovisual assets and conference room environments. This position demands an exceptional individual who demonstrates strong leadership capabilities, proactive initiative, superior organizational acumen, and unwavering attention to detail in all aspects of their work performance. Furthermore, the role requires highly refined customer service expertise and outstanding interpersonal communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders while maintaining JLL's reputation for delivering world-class facility management solutions.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Provide white-glove technical support for internal, customer, and C-level executive   meetings.
  • Perform regular maintenance, software and firmware updates, preventive maintenance and routine repairs to provide uninterrupted service of all conference room equipment.
  • Assist with scheduling meeting rooms and supporting conferences, training sessions, and special events conducted within the Reston complex.
  • Pro-actively identify potential Audiovisual issues and provide solutions to clients concerns or needs.
  • Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of unified communication services, example Skype for Business, Teams, or WebEx, etc.
  • Bring technical expertise and guidance for the deployment & operation of Crestron Flex Systems

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree combined with three or more years of relevant experience is required for this position, though candidates with a High School education and five or more years of related experience will also be considered.
  • Client service excellence forms a cornerstone of this role, requiring a minimum of two years in a customer-focused environment, with corporate conference center experience being particularly valuable for understanding the unique demands of our business operations.
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office applications gained through at least two years of office environment experience is essential, along with advanced troubleshooting capabilities for audiovisual software and hardware configurations that support our daily operations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities are fundamental to success, encompassing both written and verbal skills that enable effective interaction with staff members and clients across all organizational levels while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.
  • Exceptional organizational capabilities paired with meticulous attention to detail and reliable follow-through are critical, as the role demands consistent solution implementation for audiovisual services while managing multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptability and self-direction define the ideal candidate, who must thrive in both structured and unstructured settings as a proactive team member capable of performing under pressure while meeting collective deliverables and tight deadlines.
  • Professional growth mindset and continuous learning orientation are valued qualities, as the position requires ongoing software training and skill development to stay current with evolving audiovisual technologies and client service expectations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with a hotel or corporate conference center
  • Experience with EMS or any web-based conference room scheduling system preferred.
  • CTS Certification
  • Crestron Certifications

8-5pm PT

Salary/ Comp:

$60,500 Yearly

Estimated compensation for this position:

60,500.00 – 60,500.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
