Summary:

The Workforce Development Specialist for the Community Program supports Memorial Healthcare System’s (MHS) mission, vision and values through proactive workforce planning. Provides support and management of student and school partnerships for either (1) vocation to college and university level or (2) middle school, high school and community levels to aid proactive workforce planning. The Specialist is responsible for direct management and support of partnership events, job fairs and career readiness preparation activities. This position is the main contact for all activities related to the student program and serves as an internal and external career counseling resource. This includes, but is not limited to, scholarship activities, observation requests, and general inquiries. This position works and collaborates with key stakeholders internally and externally to build talent networks. Supports the Memorial culture by providing the Memorial Experience.

Responsibilities:

Provides management of student activities and school partnerships and associated activities such as events, job fairs and career readiness preparation to vocational, college and university levels or middle school, high school and community levels.Serves as the “go to” person for all inquiries and management of the student program including MHS scholarships, observation requests, and other related activities.Provides career counseling to external and internal prospects.Responsible for metrics tracking in order to determine ROI on workforce activities.Maintains a high degree of ethics and compliance.
