Job Description:
The Director of Human Resources is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing all aspects of the human resources function within the organization. This role requires a combination of HR expertise, leadership skills, and business acumen to drive initiatives that align with Schreiber’s goals and objectives. The Director of HR collaborates closely with executive leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that foster a positive work culture, attract, and retain top talent, and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic HR Planning:
- To develop and implement HR strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
- To identify and address HR needs, challenges, and opportunities, and develop HR initiatives that support the organization's goals.
- Develop and manage the HR budget, ensuring cost-effective HR operations
Compensation and Benefits:
- Manage and implement compensation and benefits programs, including salary structures, bonuses, and health benefits.
- Ensure competitive and equitable compensation practices based on best industry practice
- Talent Acquisition and Retention:
- Utilize data and metrics to track recruitment performance and measure the effectiveness of talent acquisition strategies. Analyse recruitment trends, identify areas for improvement, and provide recommendations for optimizing recruitment processes.
- Implement retention strategies to reduce turnover and enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.
Employee Relations and Engagement:
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes employee morale, productivity, and teamwork.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, regulations, and internal HR policies, and provide guidance to managers and employees on HR-related matters.
- Handle employee relations issues promptly and effectively, ensuring fair and consistent treatment.
Performance Management:
- Contribute to the design and implementation of performance management programs, including goal setting, quarterly check in meetings, performance evaluations, and employee development plans.
Compliance:
- Stay up to date with employment legislation and regulations and ensure the organization's compliance.
- Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures to align with legal requirements and best practice.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI):
- Develop and implement DEI initiatives to foster a diverse and inclusive workplace.
- Promote a culture of fairness, respect, and equality.
Leadership and Development:
- Assist in managing and supervising the HR team, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a high-performance culture.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior management on HR-related matters.
HR Systems and Analytics:
- Oversee HR operations, including HRIS management, data analysis, and reporting to support informed decision-making.
Key Ingredients:
- Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 12-15 years of HR experience in Manufacturing environment preferably. International Experience: Look for candidates with experience in global HR practices and cross-cultural understanding.
- At least 5-7 years’ experience in a leadership or managerial role.
