The Group Account Director (GAD) is a senior client lead responsible for orchestrating, growing, and delivering complex, integrated media engagements. Operating at the intersection of media, creative, and performance, this role owns the day-to-day leadership of a major client portfolio, working under the strategic guidance of a Business Unit Director while holding clear accountability for delivery quality, commercial performance, and client outcomes. This role demands deep integrated media experience across digital and traditional channels, paired with the judgement to connect performance disciplines - search, paid media, CRO, analytics, and measurement - to real business impact. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Client Leadership & Orchestration Serve as the primary day-to-day senior client lead, building trusted relationships with senior marketing stakeholders. Orchestrate integrated delivery across creative, media (digital & traditional), and performance teams, ensuring clarity of roles and accountability. Translate business objectives into clear, actionable briefs for internal teams and partners. Navigate complexity across multi-brand, multi-budget portfolios, ensuring prioritisation and focus. Maintain high standards of delivery quality and foster a high-performance, collaborative environment across disciplines. Ensure teams operate with clear plans, milestones, and decision frameworks. Integrated Media & Performance Orchestration Own the coordination of integrated media delivery across digital and traditional channels, ensuring cohesion between business objectives, performance priorities, and activation. Partner closely with internal specialists and external agencies to ensure alignment, continuity, and value delivery, informed by a strong understanding of local media dynamics, publisher ecosystems, and trading realities. Provide senior oversight across performance and measurement disciplines, challenging teams on effectiveness and optimisation priorities, while ensuring insights are translated into clear, outcome-focused client narratives and team briefs. Commercial & Financial Management Own commercial health of the account, including scope control, forecasting, and margin management. Partner with the Business Unit Director on fee discussions, contract management, and commercial negotiations. Ensure accurate tracking of effort, costs, and change requests, with no leakage or unmanaged scope creep. What We’re Looking For 7+ years’ experience in client service, media, or integrated marketing roles. Integrated media experience is non negotiable, spanning digital and traditional channels. Experience working within agency environments, managing complex client portfolios. Performance marketing exposure (search, paid media, analytics, CRO, measurement) highly beneficial, though not required to be hands on. Strong stakeholder management skills, including procurement and senior client leadership. Proven ability to orchestrate cross functional teams and external partners. Commercially astute, with experience managing large budgets and fee structures. Confident, calm, and structured leader who thrives in complexity. Education: Relevant tertiary qualification (Marketing, Business, Communications, or similar).
