Software Requirements:

  • Node.js

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain scalable and highly-available RESTful APIs using Node.js technologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new features
  • Debug and troubleshoot Node.js applications
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Node.js best practices and technologies
  • Continuously improve application performance and scalability
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure seamless deployment and operation of Node.js applications

Technical Skills:

Backend Development:

  • Excellent knowledge of Node.js development
  • Minimum 7 years of coding experience in Node.js, JavaScript, and Databases
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in TypeScript
  • Practical experience with GraphQL
  • Well-versed with CI/CD principles and experience in solving and troubleshooting issues in a distributed services ecosystem
  • Understanding of containerization, experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Exposure to API gateway integrations like 3Scale
  • Understanding of Single-Sign-on or token-based authentication (Rest, JWT, oAuth)
  • Possess expert knowledge of task/message queues including AWS, Microsoft Azure, Pushpin, and Kafka

Front-End Development:

  • Good understanding of front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

Experience:

  • Minimum 5-10 years of coding experience in Node.js, JavaScript, and Databases
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in TypeScript
  • Hands-on experience in performance tuning, debugging, and monitoring
  • Experience in banking, financial, and fintech sectors in an enterprise environment preferred
  • Experience in Agile methodology

Day-to-Day Activities:

  • Write and test Node.js code
  • Debug and troubleshoot Node.js applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new features
  • Ensure seamless deployment and operation of Node.js applications
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Node.js best practices and technologies
  • Continuously improve application performance and scalability

Qualifications:

  • Degree or postgraduate degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent industry experience)

Soft Skills:

  • Able to influence multiple teams on technical considerations, increasing their productivity and effectiveness by sharing deep knowledge and experience
  • Self-motivator and self-starter with the ability to own and drive tasks without supervision
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teams across the organization
  • Excellent soft skills and interpersonal skills to interact and present ideas to senior and executive management
