TIJ2.5M PA Process Engineer

Description -

We are looking for a Manufacturing/Liaison Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess good skills in data analysis and experience in contract manufacturing, with operations knowledge considered an advantage. In this role, you will collaborate closely with manufacturing partners to uphold quality standards and drive efficiently with adherence to quality standards, and continuous process improvement across the manufacturing network.

This position requires applying intermediate subject-matter expertise to address a range of business challenges and moderately complex issues. The engineer will contribute analytical insights, provide project direction, and exercise independent judgment within established practices and procedures to manufacturing partners. The role also involves evaluating unique situations, interpreting policies, and making well-founded recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical liaison between internal engineering teams and contract manufacturers to resolve manufacturing, quality, and yield issues.
  • Analyze production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities in cost, quality, and cycle time.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and escalate deviations when necessary.
  • Provide technical documentation, reports, and regular status updates to management.
  • Support qualification of new materials, equipment, and processes at manufacturing sites.
  • Coordinate engineering change implementation and ensure timely communication across stakeholders.
  • Drive root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions to ensure production stability.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for supplier performance and escalate deviations when necessary.

Qualification

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent technical discipline).
  • Experience: Typically 3-6 years’ of relevant experience in manufacturing/process engineering or contract manufacturing.
  • Preferred:
    • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical data.
    • Good analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
    • Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive issues to closure within timelines.
    • Ability to work with people from different time zones.
    • Willingness to travel and work at different geographical locations as needed.
    • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, SQL) and familiarity with S4.
