The Cloud Management Practitioner (FinOps) partners with multiple teams across IDEXX to drive the business value of enterprise cloud investments by establishing operations that create visibility, foster collaboration, generate optimization, and introduce governance. 

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Operations: Establish and manage centralized cloud management practice operations. Serve as the primary point of contact for all cloud cost inquiries and issues. Develop and champion cloud management best practice; promote a culture of accountability and efficiency; enable enterprise adoption.
• Collaboration: Deep partnership with personas across IDEXX teams (IT operations, engineering, product, finance, etc.) to strengthen cloud management culture and achieve objectives.
• Visibility: Provide clear, actionable, data driven insights into cloud cost and usage via reporting & analytics. Facilitate recurring opportunities to review cloud usage and costs with stakeholders.
• Optimization: Identification and implementation of rate and usage optimization in partnership with various personas across the enterprise. Develop and oversee automated solutions to optimize cloud usage and costs. Ownership and management of cloud optimization pipeline.
• Governance: Establish policy, controls, and governance practices to ensure that cloud use aligns with business objectives and optimizes cloud resources efficiently.

What You Will Need to Succeed:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, or related field. FinOps Certified Practitioner (and other related certifications) a plus.
• Demonstrated experience in FinOps / Cloud Management Practitioner or similar role. Familiarity with and experience integrating FinOps Framework within an organization.
• Deep knowledge of public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), associated cost structure, and cloud service provider cost management platforms.
• Experience operating cross-functionally in a matrixed organizational structure. Able to work in a dynamic, outcome driven environment with limited supervision. Success working independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage partners and convey complex information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Advanced analytical skills to interpret complex data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights. Ability to synthesize information to support data-driven decisions is critical to driving strategic outcomes.
• Hands on experience with large datasets; data ingestion, transformation, and visualization (i.e. Relational Databases, SQL, Tableau, CSP FinOps Tools, among others).  
• Experience presenting findings and recommendations to various levels within the organization.
