Job Title: Doweler/Stacker
Department: Frame Build
Reports To: Area Coordinator / Frame Build Team Lead
Location: DuraCraft Solutions – MDF Cabinet Door Manufacturing Facility
Position Summary:
The Doweler/Stacker supports the Frame Build department by accurately inserting dowels into pre-drilled holes and properly stacking frame parts for assembly. This role helps ensure smooth material flow, product quality, and workplace safety. The ideal candidate demonstrates attention to detail, teamwork, and a commitment to DuraCraft’s Core Values — Do Good, Drive Change, Be a Home, Earn Trust, and Open Doors — in every task performed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Insert dowels into pre-drilled holes for frame build components according to specifications.
- Visually inspect all parts for damage, defects, or missing features prior to doweling or stacking.
- Stack and organize frame parts on pallets safely and efficiently to prevent damage and maintain order.
- Ensure proper identification, orientation, and labeling of stacked materials.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with company standards.
- Communicate effectively with the team lead or area coordinator regarding material shortages, quality concerns, or process improvements.
- Assist with material movement and pallet transfer to support production flow.
- Follow all safety policies and standard operating procedures.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and teamwork.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior manufacturing or woodworking experience preferred.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and production schedules.
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
- Able to lift and stack materials up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- Reliable attendance and positive, team-oriented attitude.
