Responsibilities:

  • Performs electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process

  • Dismantles, adjusts, repairs and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings

  • Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts.

  • Flexibility and ability to work 12-hour shifts

  • Rebuilds manufacturing equipment as required

  • May perform equipment modifications as directed by engineers.

 

Skills and Experience include but are not limited to:

  • Basic understanding of semiconductor equipment and processes

  • Intermediate knowledge of AC/DC and Digital Electronics circuits, including fundamentals of electricity, basic electronic components and circuit analysis

  • Intermediate knowledge of algebraic concepts

  • Shown ability to troubleshoot and resolve intermediate equipment problems and address root cause

  • Proven ability to properly use common hand tools

  • Intermediate understanding of wafer sort equipment and processes

  • Intermediate data extraction, analysis, and reporting skills

  • Intermediate knowledge of test and calibration equipment (O-scopes and DMMs)

  • Confirmed ability in multi-tasking complex projects

  • Basic understanding of SPC principles

  • Proven ability to communicate and present effectively

  • Shown ability to follow procedures and work with minimal supervision

  • Demonstrated time management and prioritization skills

Minimum Qualifications:

Associates in an electronic related field and/or military training and/or military experience and/or equivalent work experience.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Associates in an electronic related field and/or 5 years of semiconductor experience.

Equipment Technicians are responsible for monitoring, sustaining, and improving the equipment in their assigned area. We work in partnership with Shift Operations team members, area equipment engineers, and tool vendors. We provide the foundation to introduce some of the most sophisticated memory and storage technology to the world! We supervise tool performance, schedule and perform preventative maintenance on assigned tool sets, and use mechanical, electronic, and PC/software skills to resolve equipment issues.

As a Technician, your job duties will require physical activity including standing and/or walking for long periods; climbing, crouching, kneeling, or crawling on uneven terrain; working in confined spaces; and using hand tools while arms raised above head level. Some roles require certification and the use of a respirator.

  • Rebuilds manufacturing equipment as needed
  • May perform equipment modifications as advised by engineers

Skills sought for this role

  • Applied proficiency in mechatronics, robotics, fundamentals of electricity, technical writing, electrical power, machinery, or statics
  • Basic PC skills including MS Office Suite
  • Basic understanding of SPC principles and accurate application

Qualifications

  • Experience in Electronics Technology, Mechatronics Technology, Microelectronics, Industrial, or Advanced Manufacturing

Preferred Qualifications

  • AAS in Electronics, BS in Electronics Engineering Technology, related field of study, or equivalent military experience
