Summary:
Hitachi America is looking for an Investor Relations Specialist who possesses effective communication skills and is a dedicated team player. Our ideal candidate will be able to answer questions, provide respectful, consistent follow-through, and have a desire to help investors understand Hitachi.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with potential and current investors, taking inbound calls, making outbound calls, and following up on leads/tasks. No cold calling.

  • Understand potential and current investors' needs and identifies sales opportunities.

  • Arrange and support investors visits and meetings.

  • Develop and maintain investor target lists.

  • Attend conferences and meetings as needed. Keep meeting notes and coordinate all follow-up materials.

  • Monitor, analyze and report on industry and peer company information and practices by tracking research reports, news, earnings calls and other relevant sources.

  • Complete market analysis and support building out materials in advance of investor meetings.

  • Work internally across finance, accounting, public relations, and other areas to ensure coordination and consistent communication and disclosures with headquarters IR team in Japan.

  • Manage external vendor relationships including IR agency, stock surveillance, website/conference call provider.

  • Work other related duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study.

  • 3+ years of investor relations, finance, strategy and / or communication experience.

  • An interest in/passion for working with investors.

  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal communications, and business writing skills.

  • Strong in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to analyze financial statements and perform effective benchmarking and competitive analysis.

  • Understanding of valuation and modeling techniques used by investors and analysts.

  • Comfortable traveling and working across time-zones.

For California only (as required by California’s Pay Transparency for Pay Equity Act (SB 1162): The expected salary for this position in our California office is $94,834 - $118,542. Pay is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, depth of experience in the practice area. Employees are eligible to participate in Hitachi America’s variable pay program, subject to the program’s conditions and restrictions.
