Role overview:
The Carbonates Specialties I-Cube champion coordinates cross-functional teams in France, UK and Germany, to define and execute continuous improvement programs in order to improve industrials performances: Safety, Quality, Cost/Competitiveness, Delivery, People skills and Empowerment, Environment and Energy efficiency (SQDCPE)
Responsibilities and Duties
Coordinates cross-functional teams to define and execute continuous improvement programs in order to improve industrial performance (SQDCPE) Deploys and sustains programs within the factories and mines by improving Working conditions with “MUST HAVES” routines and cost savings. Cultivates and promotes a strong continuous improvement culture.
Supports analysis of processes and practices to enable safety / efficiency / quality continuous improvement initiative generation.
Generates detailed continuous improvement initiatives to generate savings with the cooperation of Plant managers.
Provides project support and expertise to on-site teams for deployment and improvement projects.
Monitors progress of continuous improvement projects and related savings, including process management improvement, process modification, and energy optimization. Maintains and creates appropriate documentation for reports, project execution, and data analysis.
Supports Operation Sites & all other business process teams to set a long term vision based on Continuous Improvement mindset deployment, as well as quick wins and quarterly detailed implementation tactics for relevant action plan.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
Engineer or equivalent
At least 5 years of proven experience in Operations Management and Operational Excellence program management;
Six Sigma Green Belt certification or above
Proficiency in spoken and written French and English are required.
Desirable
Experience of working within a culturally diverse global company
Conversant in German language would be advantageous
To be able to travel abroad (30%)
