About the role:

Reporting to local Engineering Manager of Mar-Tech team, the Software Development Engineer will bring exciting features to our customers and will maintain them in production. As a Software Development Engineer candidate will help guide the technical direction of our backend services and UI for internal tools to ensure that we are moving quickly while adhering to engineering excellence.

You will:

  • Create features with a focus on adding customer value and write tech specs
  • Write efficient code
  • Participate with TPM and EM to break down tasks and provide estimates
  • Partner and mentor other engineers
  • Become an expert with tools and programming languages, engineering processes used within the team in a scalable cloud-based architecture
  • Write technical specification and participate in design reviews
  • Interview candidates

You have:

A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field or equivalent experience

  • A BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
  • 6+ years of experience as a software developer
  • Understanding of software development practices, system design, software
  • Design patterns, and algorithms
  • Familiarity with 2 programming languages and readiness to learn
  • Familiarity with data storage technologies
  • You have an ability to collaborate and work with application developers and product managers

The ideal candidate has deep expertise in distributed systems, e.g. in Java or Golang, and preferably with microservices architecture. You are someone who has mentored junior engineers and presents top-notch debugging skills and awareness of software best practices. Experience in AWS is a plus.
