About the Role:

We’re looking for a sharp and intuitive investigator to join our Fraud Risk & Investigations team. As a Senior Investigator, you’ll be at the forefront of protecting our platform and customers, using your keen analytical skills and expertise to uncover fraud rings, detect emerging threats, and shape proactive fraud prevention strategies.

This role is perfect for a detail-obsessed, strategic thinker who loves solving complex problems, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and making a meaningful impact. You’ll also be a mentor, sharing your knowledge, guiding junior team members, and ensuring we stay ahead of evolving fraud risks.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead high-profile fraud investigations, identifying organized crime patterns and stopping bad actors in their tracks.
  • Develop and refine fraud detection strategies, using data to inform insights to outsmart fraudsters before they strike.
  • Use cutting-edge tools to track emerging fraud trends and strengthen our risk framework.
  • Be a mentor and subject matter expert (SME), empowering junior investigators and elevating team expertise.
  • Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, Product, and Data Science teams to build innovative fraud prevention solutions.
  • Enhance and refine fraud policies, workflows, and investigative techniques, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Work with external partners and law enforcement, staying ahead of fraud trends and sharing critical intelligence.
  • Prepare clear, compelling reports and present your findings to leadership.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5+ years of experience in fraud investigations, financial crimes, or risk management within fintech, banking, or payments.
  • Strong expertise in ring-linking investigations, uncovering and dismantling organized fraud networks.
  • Hands-on experience with fraud detection systems, data analytics, and case management tools.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with a sharp eye for fraud trends and a passion for data informed solutions.
  • Strong communicator, experienced in presenting insights to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive and thrives in fast-paced, high-impact environments.
  • Knowledge of AML, KYC, BSA, and fraud-related compliance regulations.
  • CFE, ACAMS, or CFCS certification is a plus.

New Hire Base Salary Range: $76,600 - $91,900

This role is also eligible to earn annual performance-based incentive compensation in the form of a cash bonus.
