Your role:
We are seeking a highly capable Senior Manager, Risk and Controls Advisory to join our Customer Channel and Data (CCD) Line 1 Risk team. This pivotal role will primarily support the Business Banking Advanced Analytics and Data (AAD) function during a period of significant transformation in our data Strategy & Governance and technology landscape. As part of the AAD Centre of Excellence Leadership team, you will play a key part in embedding robust risk practices within advanced analytics, reporting, risk analytics, Customer Communications and data Governance.
This position reports directly to the Executive Manager, CCD Line 1 Risk. As a member of the AAD Centre of Excellence Leadership team, you will have a significant voice in shaping the risk and control environment across Business Banking’s data and analytics activities.
Provide expert operational risk advice to the Business Banking AAD team, ensuring alignment with the Operational Risk Management framework.
Support the design, implementation, and monitoring of controls across advanced analytics, risk analytics, Customer Communications, reporting tools, and data initiatives.
Drive continuous improvement in risk culture and operational risk awareness within the AAD function.
Partner with technology, data, and business stakeholders to proactively manage non-financial risks during technology and data transformation projects.
Contribute to the leadership and strategic direction of the AAD Centre of Excellence, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Pro-actively identify risks and opportunities for improvement within the team by partnering close with each Chapter Area Lead - promoting the safe delivery of key strategic analytical capabilities across Business Bank.
Demonstrated experience in non-financial risk management within a large, dynamic data office, ideally in the financial services sector.
Deep understanding of operational risk frameworks and a strong track record of risk and control advisory within advanced analytics, reporting, and data environments.
Proven ability to influence and collaborate across multiple stakeholder groups, including technology, data, and business teams.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills, with the ability to thrive in a period of transformation.
Experience supporting business units through change, with a focus on uplifting risk culture and practices.
Solid understand of Data and Advanced Analytics within complex organizations.
Comfortable with uncertainty and ambiguity - an opportunity to showcase how risks should be effectively managed within Data & Analytics.
