Salary range (but not limited to):

43,600 - 53,200

Annual bonus target, based on the base salary, with a potential payout of up to double the target (subject to personal and company performance):

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.


About the role

We’re looking for a Bilingual Claims Assistant, Specialty Lines to join our growing Specialty Lines Claims team for a 6 months secondment!  As a Claims Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative assistance for our claims teams who strive to provide superior customer service for our customers.    

  

What you’ll do here:  

  • Monitor claims shared mailbox and claims system queues, triage new claims and other type of administrative requests for multiple specialty lines of business  
  • Set-up new claim in claims systems with accuracy  
  • Assign files to adjusters maintaining a balance intake in the various teams, based on the skill sets and capacity  
  • Monitor and log non-productivity exceptions of SL & Surety claims handlers 
  • Process financial transactions in claims systems   
  • Provide support to claims handlers and management with systems, with various claims inquiries, with claims communication and data entry  
  • Provide exceptional internal and external customer service  
  • Participate in improving, optimizing and simplifying tools and processes and maintaining documentation up to date  
  • Meet privacy and compliance guidelines  
  • Prioritize and organize work with a limited degree of supervision  
  • Manage basic claims handling, if required  

  

What you bring to the table:  

  • At least 2 years of experience in administrative support  
  • Working experience in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)  
  • Ability to prioritize and organize personal workload   
  • Exemplary written and verbal communication    
  • Team player with a positive attitude    
  • Willingness and ease to learn various insurance lines of business, systems, processes  
  • Bilingual (French and English). Need to interact regularly with colleagues/clients.
