Job Title: Customer Service Representative

Department: Commercial Lines, Transportation Business

Location: Richmond, VA

Job Summary: We are currently looking to add a team member to our Transportation unit. We are seeking an individual who excels in providing customer service. The Commercial Lines Customer Service Representative will provide day-to-day customer service to our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with Producers and Insurance Company representatives to service existing customers

  • Issue Certificates of Insurance and Auto Insurance ID Cards

  • Assist with client calls on billing questions,  make policy changes, add and delete vehicles and drivers

  • Assist in gathering information required for underwriting/marketing an account and creating renewal submissions.

  • Orders policy changes

  • Update data in agency management system

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Diploma or the recognized equivalent is required.

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Property & Casualty insurance industry or similar role, required.

  • Active Property & Casualty license, required.

  • Bilingual (Spanish and English) preferred           

 
Technology Skills:

  • Possess strong administrative and computing skills, including Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel and Outlook)

  • Applied Epic Agency Management experience preferred but not required.

  • Self-motivated and driven

  • Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication, including the ability actively listen, and problem solve with minimal assistance

  • The ability to multi task, prioritize, work independently, and use discretion surrounding sensitive information

  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and positive attitude
