Job Description Summary
The Project Operations Center (POC) Director will be responsible for supporting the BWRX-300 Operations Leader in coordinating and overseeing the successful execution of BWRX-300 projects around the world. In this role, the POC Director will bridge across the coalition that is Product Management, Engineering, Project Delivery, Supply Chain Development, and Sourcing; and manage the cross functional efforts required to ensure the successful launch of the BWRX-300 platform.
This program is new, complex, urgent, and somewhat undefined, with various stakeholders and partners. Effectiveness in the role depends on the deep understanding of program development, costs, and risks, as well as cross-functional leadership skills to drive vital focus and accountability for the things that matter most to the BWRX-300 program success. This position will report into the GEH BWRX-300 Operations Leader, and work across the direct and indirect teams that are contributing to the BWRX-300.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
As the POC Director you will support the BWRX-300 Operations Leader in executing the following:
- Manage cross-functional program execution, including engineering development and individual project delivery, in order to launch a successful program
- Refine and improve the processes, KPIs, and communication rhythms that a complex fast-paced program like the BWRX-300 requires.
- Serve as the interface for construction/AE partners, and as the customer interface at mid-executive level
- Lead the project risk analysis and consolidate project risk registers
- Develop Best Practices / Lessons Learned Matrix / Process (to share from project to project)
- Advise on Product Strategy – Fleet Services / Development / Oversight
- Oversee, support Supply Chain Development
- Develop the transaction / partnering risk assessment (which partners / and why)
- Serve as the interface for Construction/AE (Project Setup / Oversight / etc.) – For each project having accountability
- Oversee the estimates for projects (gate reviews, etc)
- Establish consistent practices across the X-300 program in the following areas:
- Project structure
- Succession planning
- Project controls/scheduling
- Project reporting/communication
- Commercial evaluation
- Customer interface
- Stakeholder alignment
- Functional support integration
- Design constructability
- Work flow readiness reviews
- Issue/action management
- Problem solving process
- Project decision making
- Contingency management
- Change management
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business Administration from an accredited university or college or equivalent knowledge/experience
- Significant relevant experience in leading project or program execution and the corresponding teams
- At least 5 years of experience in Nuclear programs or operation

- The work location for this role is at the GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GVH) headquarters in Wilmington, NC (Relocation assistance provided)

Desired Characteristics
- Experience running or supporting a nuclear utility OCC
- Previous experience supporting or working nuclear power plant outages.
- PMP certification
- Proven ability to work collaboratively horizontally across a business including listening and problem-solving around complex strategies and projects
- Strategic thinker with the ability to balance thought leadership, continuous learning and improvement with demonstrated results
- Demonstrated knowledge of an overall program vision and ability to align resources, processes and outcomes to that vision.

- Strong technical and analytical aptitude to understand and articulate complicated tradeoffs
- Ability to articulate information effectively and concisely, both written and verbal, to team members, senior management, and customers
- Skilled communicator capable of listening to multiple perspectives and incorporating into a balanced approach that optimizes the outcome.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $154,800.00 and $258,000.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
