Boeing Global Services (BGS) is currently seeking an Associate Level or Experienced Level Manufacturing Engineer to become part of the Attack Vertical Lift organization in Mesa, AZ.

The Attack Vertical Lift organization is seeking an individual contributor and key team member to support the AH-64 and AH-6 Spares Manufacturing Engineering (ME) team. This role will rely heavily on aviation maintenance experience; knowledge of parts and the vertical lift attack platforms; and supply, repair and spare practices.

This role requires assessing engineering designs and creating the planning to support spares activities as well as reviewing and approving spare parts requests for multiple domestic and international new and sustainment attack platform programs. This role will work directly with design engineers, production manufacturing engineers, maintenance engineers, supplier management and the Army customer to ensure our warfighters in the field receive the proper parts to keep overall readiness rates high.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops manufacturing plans and oversees plan optimization.
  • Conducts producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements.
  • Develops and implements production and tooling methodologies.
  • Consults with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines.
  • Assists in providing producibility information for inclusion in project plans and helps document producibility best practices.
  • Analyzes design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions.
  • Validates and ensures production readiness of solutions to complex problems.
  • Implements lean principles and technologies.
  • Supports Root cause corrective actions. 
  • Supports data gathering and performing Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations.
  • Contributes to the development of producible (design and build) solutions aimed at reducing costs, improving quality and keeping schedule commitments.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.  

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 1+ years’ experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • 1+ years’ experience aerospace manufacturing operations and/or manufacturing support.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of higher education and/or related work experience (Higher education includes college, university, technical school, licensing/certification programs, etc.)
  • 3+ years’ experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • 3+ years’ experience aerospace manufacturing operations and/or manufacturing support.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite Skills.
  • Experience in aircraft maintenance or maintenance training.
  • Experience working on Apache systems.

Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Associate-Level Summary Pay Range: $85,000 to $115,000

Experienced-Level Summary Pay Range: $103,700 to $140,300
