OVERVIEW:

The Pricing Analyst plays a key role in the day-to-day tasks of the Pricing Department and is responsible for the preparation and accuracy of pricing actions and strategies aligned by the Senior Pricing Strategist and the respective Customer Business Unit (“CBU”). The Pricing Analyst will assist the Senior Pricing Strategist in the day-to-day functions; helping prepare data for building price models/scenarios and building reporting for pricing impact. The position is accountable for pricing integrity (price accuracy) for base and markdown pricing.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting & Data Extraction (20%)

  • Generate recurring and ad hoc pricing and sales reports using internal tools and systems.
  • Pull data from databases, ERP systems, and BI platforms to support pricing initiatives.
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across reports.

Top-Line Insights (20%)

  • Provide summary-level insights into pricing trends, sales performance, and promotional effectiveness.
  • Highlight key variances and trends in weekly and monthly reporting.

Team Support & Collaboration (20%)

  • Work closely with Pricing, Finance, and Merchandising teams to support data needs.
  • Assist in preparing materials for pricing reviews and strategy sessions.

Tool Utilization (20%)

  • Use Excel, SQL, and BI tools (e.g., Alteryx, Power BI, Oracle LPO) to manipulate and visualize data.
  • Maintain and update dashboards and reporting templates.

Process Improvement (20%)

  • Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes and improve data workflows.
  • Document reporting procedures and maintain data dictionaries as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 0–2 years of experience in an analytical or reporting role (internships or co-ops welcome).
  • Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with SQL and BI tools (e.g., Alteryx, Power BI, Oracle LPO) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively in a team environment.
