The Team

Our lawyers are commercial advisers; passionate about the law but integrated into the business agenda. As a Trainee Solicitor in a consumer-facing telecommunications business, you will support the legal team in providing timely, accurate legal assistance that enables the business to meet strategic priorities while maintaining compliance with law and regulation.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your legal skills in a fast-paced environment, working alongside experienced professionals on a wide range of legal matters.

Key Responsibilities

Your workload will be varied and will typically include:

Supporting Contract Negotiations – Assist in reviewing and drafting contracts with customers and suppliers under supervision, ensuring documents reflect commercial principles and legal obligations.

Legal Research & Analysis – Conduct research on relevant laws, regulations, and case precedents to support senior lawyers in advising the business. Compliance Assistance – Help ensure marketing and commercial activities comply with regulatory requirements.

Claims & Litigation Support – Assist in managing customer claims and litigation by preparing case summaries, drafting correspondence, and liaising with the business and external counsel, where necessary.

Project Involvement – Contribute to complex projects such as acquisitions, disposals, and corporate transactions by preparing initial documentation and reports.

Administrative & Reporting Tasks – Maintain accurate records, track deadlines, and support the General Counsel and wider team with ad hoc tasks.

Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work closely with commercial, regulatory, and risk and compliance teams, and the wider business, to provide timely legal advice and support business objectives while mitigating risks.

Skills & Attributes

  • Strong academic background in law (LLB or equivalent; LPC desirable).

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under supervision.

  • Strong communication skills, growth mindset and willingness to learn.

  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively in a dynamic environment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft applications and comfortable with legal research tools.
