Sales Manager

What will your responsibilities be?

   Establish primary customer contact, provide and update information on customer organization, purchasing strategies, technical development and customer contacts

•  Execute the strategic direct processes and/or tactical control processes depending upon     size & complexity of the customer

• Responsible for project commercial activities and issue resolution with PG Management

• Manage overall revenue and commercial margins, optimize commercial margin through pricing leverage and contract execution

•  Generate information to manage balanced scorecard

•  Support to champion customer priorities and support alignment of strategy to achieve objectives

•  Support customer relationship strategies within assigned project 

•  Support long term customer satisfaction, market share, retained sales and overall sustained growth

•  Observe and analyze customer demands and market development (chances and risks) in order to initiate programs to optimize the positioning of Adient products in the market 

•  Collect information / data regarding customer satisfaction as well as follow up of improvement measures

•  Build and manage customer relationships, while communicating with other CG/PG managers to provide consistency to the customer

•   Support that commercial teams are staffed for exceeding customer delivery expectations

•  Support active communication of potential improvements / innovations regarding products and processes (towards customer; internal Adient)

•  Actively share knowledge with colleagues to improve overall project performance 

•  Maintain strong customer and peer relationships that deliver value to the company and provide increased confidence/desire to work with Adient 

•  Act in Sales Manager role within the SDT as defined in the PLUS Process

Which qualifications are we looking for in potential employees?

Mandatory:

 • Bachelor’s degree Business or Engineering

•  >5 years in automotive environment

•  Initial experience in Matrix organizations

•  Excellence in supervisory and customer relationship roles

•  History of proven performance

•  Teamwork skills

•  Strong negotiation skills

Preferred

•  Program management understanding

•  MBA, Engineering or related fields

•  Manufacturing engineering fundamentals

•  Financial skills

•  Fluent English language skills as well as advanced language skills of the customer's mother tongue

•  Ability to implement customer specific strategies

•  Ability to proactively interpret emerging customer needs and communicate competitive positioning and product gaps to the organization
