Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greeting guests in a welcoming manner

  • Accurately directing guests to restrooms, concessions areas, and seats

  • Scanning admission tickets and passes from guests for each event

  • Checking in Will Call, Premium, and VIP guests

  • Passing out programs or other event-related materials

  • Answering event or facility-related questions

  • Assisting security personnel with crowd control

  • Ensuring the safety of guests throughout the show or performance

  • Maintaining the standards of cleanliness inside the theater and lobby

  • Working as a part of a team to ensure the best experience for patrons and artists

  • Consistently offering professional, engaging, and friendly service

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Exceptional verbal communication skills

  • Professional presentation, appearance, and work ethic

  • Safety-minded and able to follow and enforce safety protocols

Education and/or Experience

  • Previous work as an usher preferred

  • Experience working in the service industry a plus

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor

Working Environment

  • Sitting and standing for long periods of time.

  • Position may include being outside the venue doors.

Work Hours

  • May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays

  • Irregular hours

  • Flexible schedule

Physical Demands

  • Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 25 pounds

  • Handling objects, products, and scanning machines

  • Must be able to stay in one location for long periods of time and safely/efficiently move about the entire facility

None

Compensation

  • Hourly Rate: $17 per hour

  • Overtime: time and one-half paid for weekly hours over 40

  • Sick leave paid in accordance with Washington state law
