A Day in the Life
Proficiently manipulates or depresses crane controls such as pedals, levers, and buttons, to regulate speed and direction of crane and hoist movement.
Uses hoisting attachments such as hook, sling, electromagnet, or bucket as load requires
Responsible for completing crane logs and maintenance documents including required safety paperwork
Delivery and pick-up of finished goods and metal products
Load and deliver material to and from sites
Complete inspections and maintain ELD Logs
Perform end of day driver check-ins to ensure complete and accurate paperwork completion
Observes load hookup and determines safety of load
Cleans and maintains crane and hoisting mechanism.
Inspects crane for defective parts and notifies supervisor of defects or malfunctions.
Uses critical lift plan checklist and signs off on completion.
What You’ll Bring
Valid 15-ton Ministry Crane Certificate (boom truck)
DZ License
Experience with handling sheet metal an asset
Strong problem-solving skills.
