Partner with the best

As an AI Ops Leader, you will be responsible for:

  • Lead design, build and operations of enterprise observability platform based on elastic.

  • Onboard full suite of 20,000 plus devices under observability umbrella

  • Ensure SRE principles are applied and followed

  • Responsible for discovery & topology of BH environment and data quality

  • On-going management of data ingestion, cleansing and enrichment workflows

  • Manage a team of 3 to 5 engineers (Automation team), ensure smooth and timely delivery of projects & platform updates

  • Increase developer velocity

  • Take BH observability to next level of technology evolution

  • Coach & train cross BU application teams on best practices Observability

  • Ensure on-going support meets operation SLAs

  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to develop and deliver solutions

  • Participate in complex/critical incident troubleshooting, complex change implementation

  • Defining strategy and driving improvement ongoing with internal resources and/or vendors

  • Resolving any automation team decisions

  • Team tools and deployment methods

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Minimum 12 years of experience

    • 10+ years – SRE, DevOps, or Infrastructure Operations experience in enterprise-scale or mission-critical environments

    • 7+ years – Cloud / Application / Platform operations and administration (AWS, Azure, hybrid or multi-cloud)

    • 5+ years – Leading observability or monitoring programs, including architecture, governance, and scaling across distributed domains

    • 5+ years – Automation, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) and scripting proficiency (Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.)

    • 3+ years – Team leadership or program management experience, including mentoring engineers and coordinating cross-functional stakeholders

  • Preferred qualifications

    • AWS/Azure Professional-level certification or equivalent

    • Elastic Certified Engineer or equivalent observability certification/hands-on exposure

    • Demonstrated experience in vendor management and working with professional services teams

    • BE/BTech any (expect Civil & mechanical)

    • Green Field, Brown Field deployments/migrations, driving platform adoption across organization.

    • Familiarity with Agile/ITIL/DevOps frameworks for program execution

    • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills — ability to present observability strategy and outcomes to leadership

  • Must have Technical Skills

    • Strong background in observability platforms (Elastic.io stack preferred: Elasticsearch, Kibana, Logstash, Beats, Elasticsearch, Kibana, Logstash, Beats, Elastic APM, and Fleet/Elastic Agent

    • Ability to oversee lifecycle management (Kubernetes, Docker, Prometheus, and Grafana installation, patching, upgrades, scaling).

    • Telemetry Fundamentals: Strong, practical understanding of fundamental observability concepts, including the collection and analysis of logs, metrics, traces, and synthetic monitoring.

    • Experience leading enterprise-scale observability programs across distributed infrastructure domains (network, servers, VMs, AWS, Azure, databases).

    • Ability to architect scalable ingestion pipelines and define enterprise-wide observability standards.

    • Proven track record of program management — coordinating with professional services engineers, ensuring knowledge transfer, and driving in-house ownership.

    • Strategic mindset to align observability initiatives with business needs in a critical industry (energy/oil & gas).

    • Strong documentation and governance skills — defining standards, onboarding frameworks, and consumption guidelines for SMEs across domains.

    • Incident management leadership — guiding SRE practices, ensuring effective monitoring, alerting, troubleshooting, and postmortems at scale.

    • Proficiency in automation, DevOps, and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD pipelines) to ensure repeatable deployments.

    • Configuration Proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency in managing system configurations using YAML-based configurations.

    • Knowledge of infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible) for repeatable automation.

    • Strong understanding of AWS/Azure services relevant to ingestion and enrichment (e.g., Kinesis, Event Hub, Lambda, Functions).

    • Data Presentation: Extensive experience in performance optimization, advanced data visualization, and sophisticated dashboarding using Kibana (or similar platforms).

    • Cloud-native expertise in AWS and/or Azure services relevant to ingestion, enrichment, and distributed data processing.

    • Cross-functional collaboration skills — able to bridge technical teams, SMEs, and business stakeholders.

    • Mentorship and leadership — building and scaling the internal observability team, cross-training engineers, and fostering SRE culture.

  • Good-to-Have

    • Exposure to cloud-native observability frameworks (Open Telemetry, service meshes) and ability to evaluate emerging technologies.

    • Experience with hybrid deployments (on-prem + cloud) and handling global data sovereignty/regulatory requirements.

    • Security and compliance awareness for observability in regulated industries.

    • Strong stakeholder communication skills — able to present observability strategy and outcomes to leadership.

    • Experience in vendor management — coordinating with external partners and professional services for smooth delivery.

    • Contribution to organizational best practices — dashboards, playbooks, runbooks, and operational standards.

    • Process leadership — familiarity with Agile, ITIL, or DevOps frameworks for program execution.

    • Relevant certifications (AWS/Azure Professional level, Elastic Certified Engineer, or equivalent).
