POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for the law and order of Winter Park Resort parking areas.  This may include reserved parking areas or general parking areas of the resort.  The position requires the distribution of parking warnings and/or tickets and includes handling parking conflicts in a professional, positive manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

General Responsibilities

  • Control of vehicle access into lodging check-in, reserved, visitor, Village Garage, pay overflow, short term, disabled, and clinic parking. Control access to deliveries, shuttles, emergency vehicles, and construction vehicles. Includes issuance of daily and temporary parking permits and codes for no charge use of pay parking spaces.

  • Daily enforcement of pay parking fees with the Genetec License Recognition system, OmniPark citation issuance, and daily violation reporting to an identified collection agency.

  • Collection of parking fees for Level 4, Moffat, and Overflow parking through RTP. Collect all cash revenue from pay stations.  Reconcile and prepare daily deposit reports and deposit cash daily

  • Organize, maintain and reconcile various financial and usage reports. Maintain records.

  • Monitor SkiData gates & T2 pay station equipment in the parking garage and Vintage lot

  • Monitor and operate, Genetec License Recognition System equipment and software, OmniPark citation computer, and printer.

  • Schedule service vendors for all equipment for annual and as-needed maintenance/repairs. Order parts as needed including a spare part inventory.

  • Assist guests and employees with directions and information in a friendly, professional manner. Effectively handle first-line conflicts and resolve problems.

  • Prepare and distribute HOA and Lodging access and parking information and access codes as needed.

  • Assist in regular parking operations as needed.

  • Advise Supervisor regarding problems, safety issues equipment deficiencies, signage requirements, etc.

  • Public and employee safety:

  • Be alert for potential hazards involving vehicles, pedestrians, and equipment. Take responsible action to prevent accidents.

  • Report and/or correct any unsafe conditions.

  • Assist with the vehicle, public, and employee accidents as required. Follow accident reporting procedures.

  • Snow & ice removal around pay stations and gates

Other Duties

  • Assist with parking lot operations as needed. Be available for special events

  • Assist Pay Parking Supervisor with troubleshooting equipment and repairs

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid Colorado Driver’s License; clean MVR required.

  • Background check required; no criminal record

  • Competence in the operation of point of sale software and other software applications, computers, calculator, copiers, scanners, handheld radios

  • Mechanical skills in troubleshooting and repairing pay station and gate equipment

  • Ability to communicate effectively; verbal and written. Must speak English fluently.

  • Ability to maintain records, prepare accurate reports and make accurate mathematical computations.

  • Ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment and to act with discretion under varying conditions.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with the public, employees, Homeowners, Property Management personnel, Commercial Tenants, NSCD participants, Pay parking season pass holders, Resort staff and departments, Service vendors, local law enforcement, and TOWP maintenance.

  • Ability to work a flexible work week and be available for overtime as needed.

  • Familiarity with Gentec, Omnipark, Park Mobile, and T2 Iris helpful.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED desirable.

Experience:

  • Familiarity with Winter Park Resort and surrounding services; town and valley desirable.

  • Two or more years working with the public in a high-stress environment.

  • Experience with point-of-sale software and cash handling.

Wage:

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of Winter Park Resorts' hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Winter Park Resorts' total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.

Hourly pay range:  $19.33-$21.33
