What a College Intern - Business Operations does at HP:

  • Studies business data; gathers information, and evaluates opportunities.
  • Understand and able to analyze data.
  • Able to map data into insights.
  • Improves process by studying current practices.
  • Monitors project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports with recommendation actions.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Individuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess:

  • University or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Able to communicate and work with country sales managers of identified opportunities, and overcome objections from countries.
  • Partners effectively with other stakeholders to ensure coordinated, efficient process management.
  • Analytical and communication knowledge.
  • Able to develop positive relationships and solving problems.
  • Basic understanding of the IT industry, competing vendors, and channels.
  • Basic understanding of HP's organization & operations, including key business rules, partner segmentation, key programs & initiatives.
  • Basic understanding of a specific set of HP's products, software, and services
  • Able to commit for 3-6 months for a full-time internship, starting in Jan 2025
