Job Summary

The role of Senior Systems Engineer – Digital Plant is focused on delivering Value Realization through the implementation of technology solutions within the Connected Shop Floor program.  Connected Shop Floor is one of Conagra’s most strategic initiatives within Supply Chain and is sponsored by the companies Executive Leadership.

This program aims to position our manufacturing environment to use best of breed solutions, combining Cloud technologies with Plant Floor Operations Technology. Aligning the organization to leverage these strategic solutions in a mobile, owner empowered environment.

You will get to explore and lead projects using industry-leading technology and tools and deliver solutions that are accurate, reliable, and easily scalable to our business needs.

Position Responsibilities

  • Lead SAP Manufacturing Integration: Spearhead the integration of SAP Manufacturing modules (such as SAP DM, SAP ME, SAP PP, SAP QM) into the Connected Shop Floor program to streamline production processes, improve data accuracy, and optimize material flows.
  • SAP Manufacturing Configuration & Customization: Configure and customize SAP Manufacturing solutions to meet the specific needs of plant operations. Ensure seamless connectivity between SAP systems and plant floor automation, enhancing real-time decision-making capabilities.
  • Lead product delivery. Ensuring that development of new services results in a lovable experience for business owners with an Agile delivery methodology.
  • Interact closely with product owners and delivery managers to understand data, information, analytics, and business intelligence requirements
  • Engineer Azure solutions to ensure conformity with Architecture and business needs within manufacturing and the Connected Shop Floor program.
  • Partner with Information Security and Supply Chain Engineering to create the Digital Plant strategy and process for Operations Technology systems.
  • Support teams in data migration to/ from various on-premises/cloud solution (Azure Data Lake/SQL/PowerBI).
  • Assist in design and implementation of strategic mobility platform
  • Change champion for Digital Manufacturing
  • Create or lead creation of functional and technical specifications. Specifications provide detailed business description of change and describe exactly what is changing in the system at a technical object level.
  • Work with platform and portfolio leaders to use the right toolset to support the application strategy of the portfolio and platforms. Establish Connected Shop Floor standards and reusable patterns for sharing of data assets for efficient use across the business portfolios.
  • Recognize and adopt best practices within the Connected Shop Floor program: Azure services, data integration, OT platforms (SCADA/MES).
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing / Warehouse technology suppliers to design and implement appropriate solutions which mitigate vulnerability for plant automation systems
  • Help influence IT Managed Service performance and escalation. Help troubleshoot complex issues/efforts with other team members or cross divisional teams
  • Support the IT Managed Service for essential incident resolution
  • Partner across IT and the business to support Agile application development, DevOps, and short-cycle iterations to achieve value.

Position Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years' experience in Information Technology (or equivalent role)
  • Hands on experience supporting and engineering Microsoft Azure solutions and/or OT environments (Rockwell/Aveva/Ignition/TrakSYS MES).
  • Hands on experience supporting manufacturing applications (LEDS/InfinityQS/Markem/Seammate)
  • SAP Manufacturing experience required
  • PowerBI or other dashboarding tool equivalent. Experience with advanced features and scripting within dashboarding tools preferred
  • Knowledge of Azure Data Factory preferred
  • Domestic Travel: 15%
  • This role requires onsite work at a Conagra Plant 4 days per week with 1 fixed remote day
