The Procurement Buyer Senior Specialist is responsible for managing and administering a range of Procurement activities, including but not limited to purchase requisitions, spot buys, reporting, compliance checks and policy enforcement. A Procurement Buyer Senior Specialist is expected to be the subject matter expert.
 

Responsibilities

  • Review, validate, and approve requisitions outside of catalogs within the clients procurement operating system.
  • Ensure compliance with Procurement policies, category guidelines, and budget approvals.
  • Provide guidance to requisitioners.
  • Execute spot buys as required.
  • Engage with spot buyers to ensure adherence to sourcing rules and approval limits.
  • Ensure purchases comply with policies and procedures.
  • Provide training and support as required.
  • Ensure data accuracy within the client’s procurement operating system.
  • Perform data analysis to determine trends.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues as required.
  • Provide guidance to stakeholders on best practices.
  • Recommend and support implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency and user experience.
  • Communicate effectively with the client on a timely basis and provide excellent customer service regarding procurement related items.
  • Monitor chats, emails, and systems to stay up to date and respond to any requests timely.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to management timely and follow through the issues until final resolution.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree is required preferably in business, finance, accounting, or supply chain.
  • 2+ years of experience in Finance or Procurement or Supply Chain or Source to Pay.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in business, finance, accounting, or supply chain.
  • Purchasing or supply chain domain experience.
  • Prior experience with Coupa and NetSuite.

Professional Skill Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including supplier-facing interactions.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, Google Sheets and reporting tools for supplier data analysis.
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and process compliance.
  • Written and spoken ability to communicate in English for Accenture interaction.
