Job Title: I Marketing & Communications Intern/Co-op (8 months)

Rail Pass Type: Internship/Co-op (Full-time/Hybrid)

Departure and Arrival Date (Start -End):  May 2026 – December 2026 (8 months), can be extended

Location: 100 Consilium Place, Scarborough, ON M1H 3E3

Work hours/week: 40

Pay Details: $23-$30 CAD hourly

Work with the Manager of Communications and Manager of Marketing for the Urban Rail Signalling (URS) Business Line (BL) to support the internal and external communications and marketing activities for the BL, including: employee communications, events, social media, digital promotion, media relations, and marketing.

Key Accountabilities:

• Create content for publication on various internal and external communication channels, design visuals, film and edit short videos
• Drafting and design/layout of articles and other content for the Intranet
• Assist with development of content for the website
• Help organize internal and external events
• Plan and draft content for social media campaigns
• Drafting of media relations products such as Press Releases, Photo Sheets, and Backgrounders
• Assist with marketing activities as needed, i.e. Market Analysis, PowerPoint Decks, drafting marketing materials, etc

Key Requirements:

• Currently enrolled or recently graduated from an accredited university or college
• Must be in their 3rd or 4th year studies.
• Must be able to attend in-office for marketing team meetings and events.
• Studying communications, marketing, public relations, business, or another related field
• Able to work Full Time for the specified term lengths
• OPTIONAL: please attach a marketing portfolio (if any) to your application

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite is a strong asset
• Social media proficiency will be considered an asset
• Related experience will be considered an asset
• Basic graphic design / layout skills will be considered an asset
