Job Summary:

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Node.js Backend Developer to join our growing technology team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Node.js as their primary backend development language, along with working knowledge of Java Spring Boot as a secondary skill. This role requires experience building scalable APIs, working with MongoDB and Redis, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in an agile environment

Roles & Responsibilities:

Core Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js (Express.js or NestJS). 

• Design and implement scalable RESTful and GraphQL APIs. 

• Manage data operations using MongoDB, including schema design, aggregation pipelines, indexing, and performance tuning. 

• Implement caching and pub/sub strategies using Redis to enhance system performance. 

• Build and maintain microservices and background workers. 

• Apply secure coding practices and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations. 

• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and system architecture planning. 

• Work in agile teams, collaborating with product managers, QA, and DevOps teams. 

• Contribute to backend development using Java Spring Boot as needed in hybrid environments. 

• Monitor and troubleshoot production issues and ensure high availability of backend systems. 

Years of Experience:

• 2 to 5 years in backend application development (Excluding the internship experience).

Education Qualification & Certifications (optional)

Required Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, CIS, or related field (or equivalent work experience in a related field)

Skill Set Required

Primary Skills (must have) 

• Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and backend frameworks like Express.js, NestJS, etc. 

• Proficiency in working with MongoDB – schema design, indexing, aggregation, performance optimization. 

• Experience with Redis – caching, pub/sub, session management. 

• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and API security best practices. 

• Experience with JWT/OAuth2 based authentication. 

• Knowledge of containerization using Docker and CI/CD pipelines. 

• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. 

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 

Secondary Skills (good to have) 

• Working knowledge of Java and Spring Boot for backend services. 

• Experience with API gateways, service discovery, and microservices communication patterns. 

• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) is a plus. 

• Familiarity with logging, monitoring tools, and performance profiling
