JOB DESCRIPTION: Position is based in Charlotte, NC, some teleworking may be permitted. Travel to Lowe’s offices may be required.
Develops and improves data standards, policy and procedures by establishing new policies and standards as appropriate; recommends changes to existing data standards. Ensures compliance to data standards, policy and procedures, as well as consistency and compliance of data and synchronization. Educates others on how to access/use data and how to ensure compliance with data standards. Serves as the primary contact with key stakeholders to ensure adherence to data standards and policies; helps determine whether/when standards, policies, and procedures need to be changed/sunset/modernized. Manages batch/real time data updates and production feeds to provide current, timely and usable data that meets business requirements. Identifies and leads projects, often companywide initiatives; collaborates with stakeholders to help define data management needs. Analyzes data delivery failures and constraints and streamlines workflows and processes to increase efficiency. Provides recommendations to simplify data delivery process. Enables and maintains authorized updates to data by establishing appropriate access and permission levels. Develops Data profiling processes, leading to Data Quality analysis, recommendations and clean-up. Develops data quality rules based on profiling activities.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job requires a Bachelor’s degree* in Computer Science, CIS, Engineering, or related field and 6 of years of experience in any job title/occupation involving data management, software development, or a related field. *Employer will accept single degree a combination of degrees, diplomas and/or professional experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree.
Must have prior experience in:
• 6 years of experience in:
Developing dashboards/scorecards through reporting tools: MicroStrategy, Tableau, Power BI, Apache Superset, Crystal Reports, and Business Objects; and
Data Modelling and Data management on databases: Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, Druid, Big Query, Hadoop, and Teradata.
• 5 years of experience in
Agile Process, Scrum, Daily Standup and Sprint planning/refinement.
• 3 years of experience in:
Google Cloud Platform (GCP); and
Developing Log Analytics dashboards through Kibana and Grafana based on Elastic Search and Prometheus.
• 2 years of experience in
Analyzing and creating alert based on data driven in log monitoring tools: Splunk and ELK.
• 1 year of experience in:
Extracting, Transforming and Loading the data through tools: Informatica and Alteryx.
