Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Perform maintenance, repair and installation including IQ, OQ, and PQ, of systems and equipment.

  • Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic breakdowns.

  • Provide mechanical support to electricians in troubleshooting electrical breakdowns.

  • Work with outside suppliers to purchase replacement tooling and repair existing tooling.

  • Identify stock and retrieve spare parts inventory as required.

  • Assist in the execution of validation and change management documentation.

  • Develop procedures for maintenance tasks as assigned.

  • Assist with training of Machinist/Mechanic apprentices.

  • Work with engineering to support both new processes/equipment and the modification of existing processes/equipment.

  • Work with outside suppliers to purchase replacement tooling and repair existing tooling.

  • Arrange outside contractors and OEM technicians to repair and/or modify production equipment both on and off site.

  • Has constructive rapport/relationship with production operations and provides high level customer service.

  • Monitors equipment downtime and equipment performance identifying and sharing improvement opportunities.

  • Identify training gaps or opportunities and implements improvements.

  • Train Mechanics and Production Support personnel.

  • Requires flexibility and understanding that all maintenance staff may be required to perform duties outside their normal area of expertise to meet the mission and goals of the Maintenance Department.

The minimum qualifications for this role are:

  • HS diploma.

  • Up to two years of experience is preferred. A combination of experiences and/or education will be taken into consideration.

  • Must possess good mechanical, communication, time management, organizational, interpersonal, and writing skills, and computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel and Lotus Notes. 

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to stoop, climb ladders, or stairs, stand or sit for extended periods of time.

  • Ability to wear a respirator.

  • Ability to hear an alarm.

  • Ability to identify small defects.

  • Ability to distinguish between colors.
